Crown Sterling Silver and Crystal Coasters, set of 2

Sterling and crystal coasters may be one of the most "I didn't know I needed that" pieces found by AV this year.

Very fun and useful, the glass is patterned, with the heavily patinated sterling rim bearing scalloping around the interior. Solid, they're not a standard cardboard or cork coaster you'd find at a gift shop or home goods store.

This pair, made by Crown Sterling, is a nice reminder of the old days of silversmithing in America. Every household wanted a new silver set, whether for the dining room or the vanity, and the silversmiths of the time were happy to oblige, with things as simple as tweezers or coasters.

An elegant yet extremely functional household piece, it brings an air of opulence to a pair of nightstands or end tables. Made to fit most drinking and American Pint glasses.
