A very interesting piece of smoking history, an early 20th century cigarette case made of a burl wood, bearing a sterling silver Cyrillic character on the front. Given its style and construction it is believed to be made of an Amboyna wood, likely during the later years of the Russian Empire.

Estimated to date around or before the 1920's, it may be one of the last pieces made before the soviet era. It exudes an opulence and luxury that was lost, carved of seemingly only 2 pieces of wood, with a well articulated hinge and a hand cut sterling silver character mounted on the front.

The character appears to be the initial: Б

This piece will fit 1 and 1/4 papers, and some cigarettes, but please refer to the measurements below to ensure it will fit whatever it is you'd like it to hold.
