A stunning example of top tier Mexican silversmithing from Taxco.

A bold design, apropos of the era of Mid Century Modern furniture. The pendant is made of an onyx quatrefoil with a silver cross inside, the onyx sitting high off the chest at almost 7mm thick.

On the back, you can see a bouquet of hallmarks helping identify the metal, maker and location of production. The crown stamp has the words "Antonio" and "Taxco" inside. This stamp was used by Antonio Pineda, a renowned silversmith from the region of Taxco, Mexico.

The pendant is on the original black velvet necklace, sporting a silver ball at each end, each with an eye motif stamped at the very ends.

A wonderfully preserved piece of Mexican craftsmanship, and an eye catching beauty its a must for any Taxco, silver or Halloween enthusiasts.
