Heuer Ref. 5022 Clubmate Stop Watch

A groovy 70's Heuer Clubmate stop watch with its 3 pushers and plastic case. It brings some additional playfulness to the sometimes overly serious sporting field. 

Its plastic construction and Pinlever movement were cost friendly and fitting for the time, as the public wanted easy to get, expendable timers. This came about in the 70's as the quartz craze went wild and right before Swatch took the world by storm.

The three colorful pushers are used for the basic stopwatch functions, green for start, red stop, and black reset. To wind the piece, you rotate the small winding mechanism on the back. The piece is a 15 minute timer with a 1/10th of a second scaling. 

The black numerals mark the 30 second scale, while the red numbers mark the 60 second period. These colors coincide with the sub-dial which is broken up into 1/2 minute intervals, so every revolution of the large hand is 30 seconds, and the sub-dial hand will move 1 notch. 

Running well and on its original cord lanyard, it would make a great piece in any racing enthusiasts kit.
